🎓Set Up & Train Bernard for Your Business
To use our AI features you need to train Bernard on your offering, with company’s tone, and provide sales and marketing collateral examples so he can learn how you speak about yourselves.
Bernard learns from the information you provide. The more specific and natural your inputs, the smarter and more relevant his results will be.
Step 1:
First things first, head to your settings section by hovering on your initials on the top right:

Step 3:
You now need to complete the following information about your business, and start providing examples of clients, collateral and marketing:
1. Explanation of Your Company’s Offering
Describe what your company does, who you help, and what makes you different.
Keep it simple and confident – 2–3 paragraphs is perfect.
💡 Tip: Avoid jargon. Bernard already understands industry language.
Example:
We help B2B companies identify and reach marketing decision-makers at the perfect moment of change.
2. Examples of Marketing Collateral
Add a few examples of your written marketing content such as blogs, emails, or social posts.
This helps Bernard learn your tone and communication style.
💡 Tip: Two examples is enough – authenticity matters more than length.
Example:
Use snippets that sound like your brand voice: a blog intro, newsletter paragraph, or short ad.
3. Examples of Sales Emails
Include 1–3 examples of outreach emails that performed well.
Show Bernard how you open, create relevance, and position your offer.
💡 Tip: Replace names or details with placeholders like [First Name] or [Company].
Example:
Hi [First Name],
I noticed you recently joined [Company] - congrats! I thought it might be interesting to see how others in [sector] use [your product] to [achieve outcome].
4. Current Clients
List your current or ideal clients to help Bernard understand your audience.
You can include company names, sectors, or industries.
💡 Tip: Include 3–5 examples that show your client range or quality.
Example:
Marketing agencies, B2B software companies, and HR tech providers across the UK and Europe.
5. Competitive Advantage
Explain why clients choose you - what makes your approach, data, or results better.
Bernard uses this to highlight your unique value in outreach and campaigns.
💡 Tip: Be specific. Instead of “great service,” say “24-hour setup and unlimited exports.”
Example:
We update our data daily and give clients full visibility into marketing decision-makers across every UK industry.
6. Target Job Titles
List the decision-makers Bernard should focus on.
💡 Tip: The clearer the roles, the sharper Bernard’s targeting will be.
Example:
CMO, HR Director, Head of Finance etc
